Islamabad: Sit-in of utility stores' employees enters third day

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Employees of utility stores on Wednesday have continued sit-in against proposed privatization of the corporation on third day at D-Chowk in Islamabad.

According to details, the protesters said that they will not call off the sit-in until the authorities concerned fulfill their demands.  They also demanded to withdraw the plan of privatizing utility stores and to clear their outstanding payments.

While chanting slogans, the protesting employees said that the government is not providing relief to the poverty-stricken people.

Meanwhile, police officers have blocked the road heading to Parliament House in order to maintain law and order situation in the federal capital.
