SC seeks list of persons gone missing since 2011

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday sought details of persons who went missing since 2011 from the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disapperances.
A two-member bench under the chair of Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik heard the missing persons case. The commission submitted its monthly report according to which 3,500 cases out of the registered 5,430 have been cleared.
The report says that at least 1,868 cases pertaining to missing persons remain pending, whereas 74 new cases were registed in September this year.
The bench while adjourning the hearing for an indefinite period orderd the commission to compile a list of persons who have been missing since 2011 and present it to the court.
