Six killed, 39 injured in road mishap in Muzaffargarh

Collision between two vans in Muzaffargarh killed six people while 39 others were wounded.

MUZAFFARGARH (Dunya News) – At least six people were killed and 39 others were wounded when two vans collided with each other in Ada Musa area of Muzaffargarh on Friday, Dunya News reported.

Eye-witnesses said that the accident occurred due to over-speeding. The accident was so severe that six people died on the spot while 39 others, including seven women, were wounded.

Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital Muzaffargarh. Rescue sources said that the injured included Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Younus, Mukhtar Ahmad, Muhammad Zubair, Masood Ahmad, Rizwan, Nasir, Muhammad Abid, Yasmeen, Yar Muhammad, Muhammad Asif, Ansar Ali, Sumaira, Zubair, Sajid Hussain, Muhammad Akram, Riaz, Khalil, Naveed, Kaif, Kulsoom, Basit, Samreen Bibi, Sabir, Muhammad Aslam, Salman, Rafiq, Sultan, Mrs Mushtaq, Muhammad Abid, Akbar, Muhammad Naeem, Farhan, Umar Mushtaq, Munawwar, Fauzia and Nadeem.



Meanwhile, 24 injured persons including five women were later shifted to Emergency Ward of Nishtar Hospital, Multan. Nishtar Hospital sources said that 10 of the injured brought were in critical condition.
