ECP takes notice of Muhammad Tahir's transfer as Punjab IG ahead of by-polls
ECP has sought reply from Punjab Chief Secretary regarding the replacement of the IG.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday has taken notice of transfer of Muhammad Tahir as Punjab Inspector General.
According to sources, the ECP has sought reply from Punjab Chief Secretary regarding the replacement of the IG.
It is pertinent to mention here that the ECP had banned all kind of transfers and replacements in government departments till the by-elections.
Earlier today, Amjad Javed Saleemi, a BS-22 officer currently serving as Commandant in National Police Academy under Interior Division, was appointed as new Punjab Inspector General.
Establishment Division had also issued a notification in this regard.
