Climate Diplomacy Week is a time to highlight global action and collaboration on climate change.
(WebDesk) - Hundreds of enthusiastic participants took part in a cycling event organized at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) by the European Union in collaboration with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Pakistan.
The interest of general public and youth was overwhelming. More than two hundred bicycle riders paddled on the roads of Islamabad where the CDA is appalingly chopping off trees to widen roads for speedy movement of vehicles.
The third cycling event started with participants cycling from the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on a pre-designated route around the capital to raise awareness about climate change and the need to curtail the growth of greenhouse emissions by promoting eco-friendly modes of transportation.
To highlight environmental awareness and to contribute towards a greener tomorrow, WWF-Pakistan and the EU also launched a - Climate Diplomacy Art Competition - this year for students to let out their creative side and encourage love for art.
Climate Diplomacy Week is a time, where EU Delegations around the world reach out to communities and partner organisations, highlighting positive global action and collaboration on climate change.
