Punjab CM reviews ongoing crackdown against encroachments

Punjab CM expressed his satisfaction over the so-far progress on the anti-encroachment drive.

(Web Desk) - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar on Sunday has chaired a high level meeting in Lahore to review the progress on the ongoing crackdown against encroachment and land grabbers.

The Chief Minister has been briefed in the meeting that 250 acre of land worth RS 7 billion has been retrieved in the four districts of the Lahore division.

The Punjab CM expressed his satisfaction over the so-far progress on the anti-encroachment drive and praised the performance of the staff.

Addressing the meeting, he said that retrieval of 250 acre of land worth billions of rupees within just couple of days was the result of excellent coordination and team work of the concerned departments.

However, Punjab CM has deiced in meeting with concerned authorities to establish anti-encroachments cells in the offices of the deputy commissioners in each district of the province.

Sardar Usman Buzdar directed to constitute a steering committee under stewardship of Provincial Minister of Punjab for housing and urban development Mian Mahmood-ud-Rashid to monitor the ongoing operation against encroachments, illegal construction and land grabbers.
