Lord Nazir heaps praise on PM Imran Khan
Lord Nazir said PM Imran Khan was sincere in resolving problems confronting the Pakistanis.
MULTAN (APP) - Member, British House of Lords, Lord Nazir Ahmad on Friday heaped praise on Prime Minister Imran Khan for his commitment to help Pakistan emerge triumphant in the face of challenges and said that overseas Pakistani would always be forthcoming to contribute to the country’s development.
Addressing a press conference here at the residence of former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi, he said that he wished to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan to convey to him problems being faced by the overseas Pakistanis.
Lord Nazir said Prime Minister Imran Khan was sincere in resolving problems confronting the Pakistanis, the bigger and foremost of them being the financial ones.
Everyone should support Prime Minister Imran Khan in his efforts to make a ‘Naya Pakistan,’ he added.
He said the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was an important project for the country and its people.
Terrorism, he said, had been overcome to a great extent and those who had been making propaganda about terrorism in Pakistan were proved wrong.
Lord Nazir said that Overseas Pakistanis had always been forthcoming in contributing towards the country’s development. They donated generously during the 1965 war, 1971 war, 2005 earthquake and 2010 floods in the country. They would also respond in affirmative to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s call for contribution towards building dams.
He said that overseas Pakistanis supported the country and they had unconditional love for their homeland. He requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to help them in resolving their problems, adding that land grabbers occupy their property, so they had to face long litigation process to seek justice.
Lord Nazir Ahmad strongly criticized Indian occupied forces’ atrocities in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
To a question, Lord Nazir said the Muslim world would have to be economically powerful and initiate an intellectual debate on issues of blasphemous caricatures, atrocities being committed against Palestinians, Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar and Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
