Summary At least 46 peasants were recovered from a landlords private jail on the Sindh High Court orders.
A petition had been filed in the Hyderabad circuit bench of the Sindh High Court stating that a landlord in Khipro had forcefully kept several peasants in his private jails. On court orders, the police conducted a raid and recovered the captives which included children and women. The court set the peasants at liberty.
