Family members reached hospital after receiving news of Kulsoom Nawaz's death.
LONDON (Dunya News) – Family members and the PML-N leaders have started arriving at Harley Street Clinic after receiving news of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s wife Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who had been suffering from cancer and was under treatment in London.
Politicians from various political parties have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Kalsoom Nawaz.
Those, who extended condolences, include PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former President Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N Chief Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders of the party, Qaumi Awami Tehreek Chief Ayaz Lateef Palijo, ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali, MQM Leader Amir Khan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri have also expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.
Speaking to media in London, PML-N leader Ishaq Dar said that Kulsoom Nawaz’s funeral prayer will be offered in London.
Former prime minister’s son Hassan Nawaz was also spotted leaving the hospital.
According to sources, Kulsoom Nawaz’s body is likely to be shifted to Lahore on Friday. She will be laid to rest in Jati Umra, Raiwind.
