Nawaz's lawyer continues cross-examination of JIT head
The JIT head said that he has source documents with him.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Khawaja Harris on Monday continued cross-examination of Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head Wajid Zia.
During the hearing of Al-Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investments references, the counsel asked to present the documents regarding Hill Metal Company.
The JIT head said that he has source documents with him.
On July 6, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to 10 years in prison for holding assets beyond known sources of income. His daughter, Maryam, was handed a seven-year sentence for aiding and abetting him while her husband, Safdar, was sentenced to a year s imprisonment.
The sentence was given in Avenfield properties reference — one of the three references filed on the orders of the Supreme Court in Panamagate verdict.
