The hearing of the case will be resumed on Sept 18.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An accountability court in Islamabad on Wednesday summoned former advisor to Prime Minister (PM) on parliamentary affairs Babar Awan, former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and five others in reference pertaining to Nandipur power project.
The reference was filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over alleged delay in the project inflicting whooping Rs27 bn loss to national exchequer.
The hearing of the case will be resumed on Sept 18.
Earlier yesterday, Babar Awan tendered resignation from his post after the NAB filed a reference against him in the accountability court over Nandipur Power Project scam.
In his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the PTI leader said that he has resigned from his post to prove the allegations against him are baseless.
Babar Awan stated that the rule of law should begin from him, adding that he is not one of those who stick to their positions.
