PML-N declares Nawaz Sharif a political prisoner
PML-N would not backdown from its demand for the formation of parliamentary commission
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday while declaring party supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif a political prisoner and expressed concern over delay in court proceedings.
The declaration of the meeting stated that not providing justice to Nawaz Sharif has raised question on the justice system.
It further said that the former prime minister is a political prisoner and has no charges of corruption.
The meeting decided that the PML-N would not backdown from its demand for the formation of parliamentary commission to into probe alleged rigging in general elections.
The meeting also decided to accelerate contacts with the opposition for the formation of parliamentary commission.
