The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday issued notice to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Finance Department on a petition, seeking court direction to implement a government decision to grant allowances to the judicial staff.A two-member bench of PHC heard the writ petition of the judicial staff. The court was informed that the provincial government had announced three allowances for the judicial staff, but no allowance had been issued. Justice Dost Muhammad remarked that he knew the financial problems of the province, but it was important to fulfill the genuine demands of the employees to end corruption.He said that the judiciary should have to work to maintain people’s confidence in the system. The court issued the notice to the finance secretary to resolve the issue.
