Millions of female voters are heading towards polling stations to cast their votes

(WebDesk) - (WebDesk) - Voting for cutting-edge Pakistan general elections 2018 is under way. Masses in general are enthusiastic and charged. A huge voter turnout is being predicted in comparison with the general elections in past.

All political parties are encouraging their voters and supporters to maintain the sanctity for the votes.

The political camps are thronged with the party supporters and voters however the pleasant change that is visible as a sanguine omen in strengthening democratic roots in Pakistan is the enormous participation of female voters in large numbers.

Millions of female voters are heading towards polling stations to cast their votes as Pakistan goes for its 11th general elections, paving the way for the second democratic transition.

Amid Election Commission of Pakistan’s hope that country may mark maximum turnout in what appears to be tightly-contested elections, some history-making events are also taking place in the conservative areas where women are usually not allowed to take part in an activity outside their homes.

Pakistan Peoples Party stalwart and the leader of opposition in Senate, Senator Sheery Rehman has the credit to pave the way for hallmark legislation. According to the law, ten percent polling of women is mandatory for all constituencies.
