One dead, 16 injured as joy-ride collapses in Karachi park
The incident occured at the newly-opened Askari Amusement Park.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A girl was killed and 16 people sustained injuries when a joy-ride at an amusement park in Karachi collapsed.
Rescue authorities pronounced the girl dead after the joy-ride at the newly-opened Askari Amusement Park came crashing down.

The authorities failed to arrive on time following which the individuals present in the park evacuated the affectees under self-help.
Later, Commissioner Karachi reached the scene and assured probe into the incident. Meanwhile, chief secretary of Sindh has also summoned report of the joy-ride collapse. He has directed three-day closure of the joy-rides in all the parks of the metropolis.
