Qadri felicitates JIT, NAB prosecutor on Avenfield verdict
Tahirul Qadri says punishment is too little for the crime
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Friday congratulated Joint Investigation Team (JIT), NAB Prosecutor and accountability court on the Avenfield reference verdict against former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and his family.
Reacting to the Avenfield reference verdict, Tahirul Qadri said that the punishment is too little for the crime, however, he was happy that the process of powerful elite being punished in Pakistan has started.
Celebrations were called at the party’s secretariat after the court announced verdict against Sharif family. Sweets were also distributed at the secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, PAT leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the Sharif family’s not only London properties but Pakistan’s properties too should be confiscated.
The PAT leader said that the PML-N supremo knew the decision of the court which is why he ran away.
