Summary Patients are facing severe problems due to the strike of young doctors in the government hospitals.
The Young Doctors Association (YDA) continued their strike on the 24th day on Thursday as the the doctors are demandinga a raise in their salaries. Earlier, the government had assured the doctors that their salaries would be increased from July 1. As a result, the YDA withdrew its sit-in call in front of the Chief Minister’s House.According the representatives of the Young Doctors Association, the government has not issued the notification of their saleries increase and it did not seem serious to accept their demands. The doctors said that they would continue to protest until the acceptance of their demands.
