PML-N govt added 11,000MW electricity: Shehbaz

SAHIWAL (Dunya News) – Former Punjab CM and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that holding free and transparent elections is the responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Addressing workers’ convention in Sahiwal on Wednesday, he said that for holding transparent elections, everyone should be given equal opportunities and one party shouldn’t be targeted.

The PML-N president said that the loadshedding has been eliminated from the country with the efforts and hard work of former PM Nawaz Sharif, adding that we have started electricity projects of 11000 megawatt.

“Our aim is to serve the general public,” he said and added Sahiwal’s Coal Power Plant is the proof of our performance.

“The PML-N leaders are being summoned in NAB for investigation, while former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is clean.” What kind of justice is this, he added.

Launching a tirade against PTI chairman, Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan only levels allegations and never gave any evidence.

“Imran Khan had accused that Shehbaz Sharif president was involved in corruption in Metro Bus project,” he said and added after that he sent legal notice to the PTI chairman to prove his allegations but Khan didn’t appear before the court.

Imran Khan went to hill station when dengue attacked Peshwar, he said.

The PML-N president said that he was overwhelmed by the response of people during his election campaign on Wednesday from Lahore to Sahiwal.

Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif was accorded a warm welcome by thousands of people when he made a stopover in Okara.
