KESC had announced no load-shedding on Pakistan Day and during the Pakistan-West-Indies quarterfinal but the citizens faced disturbance in routine life due to prolonged power cut in many areas of the city including Baldia Town and Saeedaba. Residents of Karachi could not completely watch the World Cup Quarterfinal between Pakistan and West Indies.Meanwhile, citizens in Faisalabad could not properly watch the match as FESCO put aside the directions of Federal Minister for Water and Power and continued prolonged load-shedding. The citizens took out protest rally against FESCO on Jhang Road and chanted slogans against the authorities.Moreover, continued load-shedding was observed in several parts of the country during Pakistan-West Indies match that embarrassed cricket fans.
