Summary Qaim Ali Shah has said that only government-public partnership can stop target killings in Karachi.
Talking to the media at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Sindh chief minister said that joint efforts were required to bring peace to Karachi. He said that people, who were arrested under the charges of killings and disrupting peace, were released by courts. The chief minister said that the Pakistan People’s Party and the Muttahida Quami Movement were trying to maintain law and order in Karachi. He said 1973’s constitution was framed under the guidance of the Objective Resolution. He said that 18th and 19th Amendment would complete Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto’s dream of constitution’s supremacy.Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad said that Pakistan’s creation was the outcome of a political struggle and once again joint efforts were required to bring prosperity in the country. He said that the government and the nation should follow the path of Quaid to steer the country out of crisis.
