Summary Pakistan Day is being celebrated across the country today on Wednesday.
March 23 is the day when ‘Pakistan Resolution’ was adopted in Lahore in 1940. The day began with 31 gun-salutes in the federal capital, while 21each in provincial capitals of the country.The change of guard ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in which Pakistan Air Force took the guard from Pakistan Rangers. Specials prayers were held at mosques for country’s solidarity and prosperity. There is a national holiday in the country today.
