Summary Punjab Assembly has ratified two resolutions against a US priest who desecrated the Holy Quran.
The members also staged a protest demonstration against the priest. Talking part in the debate on resolutions in the Punjab Assembly against the desecration of the holy Quran, Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and PML-Q’s Ch. Zaheeruddin asked the federal government to issue a condemnatory declaration against the incident and raise the issue at international level.During the question and answer hour, Mujtaba Shujahur Rehman said that 11 hotels were given licences to sell the liquor and the profit of the sale was being deposited in the national exchequer. Rana Sanaullah, Raja Riaz, Ch. Zaheeruddin and Rana Mashhood condemned the act of the US priest.
