ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Sit-in protest of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers outside chairman Imran Khan’s Banigala residence against the distribution of party tickets continued on fourth day.

Dozens of workers from various constituencies are repeating their demands while raising slogans and holding placards. Activists from Multan’s NA-154 constituency are demanding to allot the ticket to Malik Ahmed Dehar instead of Sikander Bosin.

Dehar also arrived at the protest camp and accused his opponent of corruption.

On the other hand, party workers from PK-86 are expressing resentment over the nomination of Malik Qasim and prefer Haji Mansoor for the candidacy.

Similarly, PK-29 voters insist on bringing forward ideological candidates.

Meanwhile, agitated party workers from Lahore have also decided to stage protest in Banigala. They have announced to hold a press conference led by Hamid Khan before their departure to Islamabad.

The protesters have urged Khan to review the distribution of tickets to the candidates. They have asked to provide them to ideological workers instead of para-shooters.

Earlier, the party delayed the announcement of candidates for remaining constituencies for 72 hours.

A meeting of the party’s parliamentary board was also held on Tuesday. The members are scheduled to announce the new candidates after three days.

The scrutiny process of candidates is also likely to continue till tomorrow in the controversial constituencies of Islamabad, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
