A reference has been filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry for dismissing more than a dozen petitions against US gunman Raymond Davis, paving the way for his release.In his reference, Shahid Orakzai, a freelance journalist, maintained that Davis release from a subordinate court was not absolute because it could be challenged in a high court.Former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been made as a party in the case for the assistance of the judicial commission.
