NADRA blocks Musharraf's CNIC on directives of court: sources

With CNIC's blocking, Musharraf is now unable to sell over 10 properties owned by him in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Thursday has blocked computerized national identity card (CNICN) of former president Pervez Musharraf, reported Dunya News.

NADRA officials stated that Musharraf’s CNIC has been blocked in light of the orders of the special court hearing treason case against him.

The orders to block the CNIC of the former president were issued after he failed to inform the court about his the date of return.

Sources privy to development stated that Musharraf’s passport has also been blocked whereas his banks’ accounts have been frozen following blockage of CNIC.

With CNIC’s blocking, Musharraf is now unable to sell over 10 properties owned by him in Pakistan.
