(Dunya News) – Old age women in Karachi’s nursing homes spend their days waiting to hear from their families and loved ones. And that longing increases ever more during the month of Ramazan.

The silent plight of these mothers reflect the sense of abandonment from their families especially in the month of Ramazan when families come together to fast and perform the religious obligations of the holy month.

These mothers recall the time when they used to serve countless dishes for iftar for their families and now are forced to spend it in solitude among other destitute mothers.
