Govt lifts ban on non-prohibited bore weapons licences issuance in Islamabad

The residents could get licenses of Shot Gun, Non-Automatic, Pump Action, Revolver, pistol and rifle

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Interior Ministry on Wednesday lifted a ban on the issuance of licences for prohibited bore weapons for the residents of the federal capital.

The district administration has issued a notification pertaining to lifting of ban on the issuance of licences for prohibited bore weapons and process of issuance of licences.

According to the SOP, the residents of Islamabad will file an application to the district administration along with their photographs, copy of CNIC and residential proof.

The residents could get the licenses of Shot Gun, Non-Automatic, Pump Action, Revolver, pistol and rifles.

The license would be issued within one month after the submission of the application and the license would be issued after the approval of local police and Special Branch.
