(Web Desk) – Shab e Barat was observed across the country with religious zeal on Tuesday night.
Also known as the night of blessings, Shab-e-Barat is observed by various Muslim communities on the night between 14 and 15 Shaa ban. It is regarded as a night of forgiveness and when the fortunes for the coming year are decided.
Mosques across the country were decorated with lights as special prayers were held. Maulana Abdul Khabeer led special prayers at the Badshahi Mosque. People worshipped the entire night and observed fast the next day. People also made their way to graveyards as part of a custom in which people visited graves of loved ones and prayed for the departed.
