Imran Khan not to attend budget meeting in parliament
Khan is scheduled to visit Peshawar instead.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan will not attend the budget meeting in parliament today (Friday).
Khan is scheduled to visit Peshawar instead where he will be briefed over the development projects. The PTI chief will also address the youth assembly.

On the other hand, Imran Khan has finalized the 100-day plan of his government and will announce it during his Minar-e-Pakistan rally on April 29 in Lahore.
The plan will be related to education, health, employment, peace and progress in country, ways to eliminate corruption, governance free of political pressure, independent foreign policy.
A committee comprised of Jahangir Tareen, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umer, Fawad Chaudhry, Chaudhry Sarwar and others have formed recommendations in this regard.
Rs 5.5 trillion Federal Budget
Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2018-19 with an estimated outlay of Rs 5.5 trillion will be presented in the parliament today, with a likely increase of salary and pension of government employees by 15 percent.
Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Miftah Ismail will present the budget where tax revenue target would be around Rs 4.5 trillion.
As per details, defense budget size would be proposed to nearly Rs 1.050 trillion, whereas, an amount of Rs 1.550 trillion is likely to be allocated to service debt and principal payment.
The government is likely to give nearly Rs 2565 billion to provinces which will be consumed for social safety, reduction in poverty, health and education sectors.
