Chemists observe shutterdown strike across Punjab against Drug Act 2017

LAHORE (Dunya News) – All Pakistan Chemist Association is observing a shutterdown strike across Punjab against the Drug Act 2017.

Various medical stores have been shut down in Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Vehari, Sadiqabad, Narowal, Chishtian, Kasur, Sialkot and other cities.

However; they are seen been divided into two factions wherein one has announced detachment from the protesters.

Patients are in suffering as they are unable to have access to medicines due to lockdown of several medical stores.


Medical stores observe strike in Lahore.


In Lahore, the stores outside Services Hospital are completely locked whereas a few of them are opened outside Mayo and Ganga Ram Hospital.

The chemist association demands restoring Drug Act 1976 and has announced protest outside Lahore Press Club at 12 noon.
