ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law on Tuesday appeared in accountability court for hearing of Avenfield reference against them.

During the hearing headed by Justice Mohammad Bashir, Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer Amjad Pervez has completed cross-examination of Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head Wajid Zia after five days.

Several Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders including Pervez Rashid, Mushahidullah Khan and Mahmood Khan Achakzai are also present on the occasion.

Previously, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were granted exemption from hearing of Avenfield reference for one day as they failed to reach Islamabad due to bad weather.

Wajid Zia said that the trust deed of Nelson and Nescol belongs to Hussain Nawaz and that beneficiary word was used for him. As per our point of view, this trust deed is fake, he continued.

It is pertinent to mention here that Wajid Zia is the last witness of NAB and after him NAB’s investigation officer will record his statement before the accountability court.
