KARACHI (Dunya News) – A huge fire that erupted in the warehouse of Karachi’s City Court was doused after hectic efforts of four hours on Wednesday.
The fire begun at 2:25am and was so intense that it engulfed all the explosive material and record stored in the warehouse.
The blaze termed as ‘third degree’ by the fire brigade officials caused fear and panic among the residents of the area.

Fire tenders from across the city were called in to extinguish the blaze. At least 13 vehicles of fire brigade managed to douse the fire.
Police, Rangers, Bomb Disposal Squad also took part in the rescue efforts.
Sindh IG AD Khawaja told that the one part of the warehouse’s roof collapsed due to the explosion whereas no official was present at the scene at the time of fire.

Short circuit is said to be the cause of the blaze.
SSP City says that no CCTV cameras are present in the surroundings of City Court Police Station and warehouse. However; the cameras installed inside the City Court will be reviewed.
