Gujrat: Girl suffers burn injuries in acid attack
The victim was shifted to Burn Unit of the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital in critical condition.
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – According to details, 23-year-old Mehwish suffered serious burn injuries when her cousin Nair with the help of his friend Mujahod sprayed acid from a bottle on her face and body, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
The young girl was shifted to Burn Unit of the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital where doctors are fighting to save her life.
According to heirs of the victim, the main accused Mujahid who is father of four children wanted to marry Mehwish and on her refusal threw acid on her with the help of Nair.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and arrested Nair from Gujrat while the main accused Mujahid was apprehended from Lahore.
