(Dunya News) - A young man identified as ‘friend’ of Naqeeb Ullah Mehsud was shot dead over domestic dispute in Quaidabad area of Karachi early on Sunday morning, police said.

Police stated that Manal Khan Mehsud was travelling in a car when armed men attacked him in Gulshan-i-Buner. Manal died on the spot due to bullet injuries. The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

On the other hand, police have not yet filed the case. The family of the victim has demanded to arrest culprits at earliest.

Naqeeb extra-judicial murder


Police allegedly fatally shot Naqeebullah Mehsud, 27, during a raid on what they described as a "terrorist hideout" in eastern Karachi last week.

The inquiry committee formed to probe Naqeebullah Mehsud’s termed the police encounter ‘suspicious’ as no evidence pertaining to Naqeeb’s involvement in terrorism has been found.

Rao Anwar arrest


Sindh police arrested Rao Anwar over the orders of Supreme Court after the suspended officer made a surprise appearance before the court. He had been absconding in the case of Naqeebullah Mehsud’s extrajudicial killing for two months.

Soon after he finally came out of hiding and appeared in SC, the Chief Justice directed to arrest suspended SSP Malir Rao Anwar while rejecting his protective bail plea.
