Separate Saraiki province will remove regions deprivation: Shah mehmood

Shah Mehmood has said that people of South Punjab are without clean drinking water.

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Addressing Saraikistan unity conference in Adda Band Bosan on Sunday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that 30.5 million people of South Punjab are without basic facilities of clean drinking water, health and education.

He said that the region is subjected to intentional or unintentional injustice and added that a separate Saraiki province is needed the remove deprivation of the region.

Shah Mehmood said that over Rs 300 billion are being spent on a single project in Lahore whereas no clean drinking water is available for the people of South Punjab.

Shah Mehmood said that creation of separate province for Saraiki people will ultimately strengthen the federation. He said that both Islamabad and Lahore possess the power but they are reluctant to give us our right.
