Nine killed, 5 injured as passenger jeep falls into ravine near Chakothi

Injured persons were shifted to rural health center in Chakothi.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – At least nine people including four women were killed and five others injured as a passenger jeep fell into ravine near Chakothi village in Hattian Bala District, Azad Kashmir.

The ill-fated vehicle was on its way from Khalana to Chakhoti. The jeep fell into ravine while taking sharp turn near Dakkan.

Rescue teams and local people shifted the bodies and injured persons to rural health center in Chakothi.

Chakothi is located 52 kilometers from Muzaffarabad near Pakistan-India border on bank of Jhelum River. The area is the check post to Muzaffarabad-Srinagar bus service for immigration and customs.
