Elections 2018: ECP issues preliminary list of constituency delimitations

Lahore is going to have as many as 14 seats in General Elections 2018.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a preliminary list of fresh delimitation of constituencies of provincial and national assemblies on Monday for forthcoming General Elections 2018.

Reportedly, constituency number one is chalked out in Chitral while NA-55 in Attock is to be the first constituency in Punjab. Islamabad and Lahore have an additional seat this time while objections over the draft can be filed until April 3.

There are going to be three constituencies in Islamabad from NA-52 to NA-54. Rawalpindi is to comprise NA-56 to NA-63 while constituencies in Faisalabad are going to be from NA-101 to NA-110.

Lahore is going to have as many as 14 seats in General Elections 2018 after an addition of a seat.

NA-239 to NA-256 are to cover Karachi, Sindh’s densely populated capital that is home to over 20million people.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province is to have four new constituencies taking the number of 39 while seven seats have been dissolved in Punjab province pulling the number down to 141.

Sindh and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) have retained number of seats, 61 and 12. Balochistan province now has 16 constituencies of National Assembly (NA) from the previous figure of 12.
