RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Two soldiers embraced martyrdom on Wednesday after Indian forces opened unprovoked fire in Bhimber Sector at the Line of Control (LoC).

Media cell of Pakistan Army reported on Indian firing’s ceasefire violation a day after Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh was summoned to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and lodged protest with over ceasefire violations at the LoC and Working Boundary.

32-year-old Munir Chauhan of Kahuta village and 28-year-old Umer Hussain of Bhimber district embraced martyrdom in cross-border firing today.

Pakistan troops targeted Indian check posts and destroyed the armed installments in retaliation.

"Pakistan Army troops responded to Indian unprovoked firing. Reports of substantial damage to Indian posts," Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.

Indian troops have violated ceasefire treaty in 2018 at least 400 times claiming lives of 18 locals and leaving 68 wounded.
