Summary Knorr Pakistan has launched a campaign in wake of sexual violence incidents in Pakistan.
Knorr Pakistan has launched its campaign ‘Aik Zaroori Baat’ with the aim of educating everyone on the basics of children’s safety. The campaign is in response to the recently reported tragic incidents of sexual violence against children in various parts of Pakistan.
#AikZarooriBaat
The campaign features two child-friendly videos that educate children about self-protection in dangerous situations. The best part: the videos feature the well-loved mascots of Knorr, Chuck and Chatty, who communicate the message to children in an easy to understand yet engaging way. These videos aim at allowing parents and caregivers to introduce safety to children as right now society discourages open conversation on the topic.
Stranger Danger!
Every child needs to learn that strangers are dangerous and should not to be trusted. They should neither talk to strangers nor accept any offerings (even candy) from them. They should just avoid them at all costs and report any suspicious activities from them to their parents immediately.
No Bad Touch!
Children should understand the difference between good touch and bad touch. The video defines bad touch in simple yet effective ways and tells kids they can stop people from touching them if it makes them uncomfortable. Also, children need to trust parents and inform them of any such incidents.
Continue The Conversation
Parents and caregivers now need to take the discussion forward and use these videos as conversation starters for more detailed discussions on the topic with their children. More importantly they need to give children the confidence to speak up without fear so that they have the courage to raise their voices against any wrongdoings.
#AikZarooriBaat will only be a success if it results in widespread open dialogue on the topic of children’s safety. Hence let’s all do our part and share these videos to spread them far and wide.
