Summary Former PM Nawaz Sharif, his daughter and son-in-law will again appear before accountability court.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar will again appear before accountability court in National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) references today (Wednesday).

Nawaz Sharif returned to Islamabad from Jeddah and Maryam Nawaz reached the federal capital from Lahore on Tuesday to appear before the accountability court.

Nawaz Sharif is nominated suspect in references regarding Avenfield properties, Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment, while Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain (retd) Safdar are nominated in reference regarding Avenfield properties alone.

Accorfing to sources, 18 hearings of Flagship Investment reference, 17 of Avenfield properties reference and 21 hearings of Azizia Steel Mills reference have been completed.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif appeared before accountability court on ten occasions while Maryam Nawaz on 12 times and Captain (retd) Safdar on 14 occasions.

Two prosecution witnesses, Zawwar Manzoor and Tasleem Khan will record their statements before the accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir during today’s hearing. Defence lawyer Khawaja Haris will cross examine the witnesses.
