Sergeant killing case: ATC approves MPA Majeed Achakzai's bail
The MPA has been directed by the court to submit surety bonds worth Rs500,000.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has on Thursday approved Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Majeed Achakzai’s bail in sergeant killing case.
Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) leader, who is facing charges of crushing a traffic police official to death by his vehicle, has been directed by the court to submit surety bonds worth five hundred thousand rupees.
The incident had earlier occurred on Quetta’s GPO Road and Majeed Achakzai’s pictures surfaced on the incident place. The official named Haji Attaullah was killed and two others sustained injuries in the crash.
Majeed Achakzai was arrested from his residence in Satellite Town area afterwards and a case had been registered against him while he was locked at the Civil Lines Police station.
The MPA was also sent on a five-day judicial remand by the ATC.
