Islamabad mulls putting PAT chief on Exit Control List
PAT chief is to address an APC on Dec 30 over Model Town massacre.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Sources have reported on Sunday that inclusion of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s name in the Exit Control List (ECL) is very likely as a formal report of five court cases against him has been compiled in this regard.
The report has surfaced at a time when Dr Qadri is to chair an all parties conference (APC) on coming Saturday (December 30) to bring the fronts on the same page against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for massacre in Model Town on July 17, 2014 that claimed some 18 lives.

Dr Qadri has at least five legal cases against him, three of which have anti-terror sections included and an anti-terrorism court has issued arrest warrant of the leader earlier as well.
A special court had also ordered seizure of PAT chief’s properties as well.
Islamabad administration is reviewing its options against Qadri as he has not approached any court to seek bails in the cases. Sources have claimed that the administration would soon approach Ministry of the Interior to have Dr Qadri’s name included in the Exit Control List.
