ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal has revealed that the government had reservations over including the clause related to the army in Faizabad agreement.

He was expressing his views in Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Saath. Iqbal told that the they agreed on making army as a mediator over the strong insistence by the Tehreek-i-Labaik protesters.

He went on to claim that the people who attacked at his residence were being led by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders. The federal minister maitained that the protest was a conspiracy against the government and a bid to weaken it and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vote bank.

Earlier while addressing a press conference, Iqbal mocked PTI Chairman Imran Khan by saying that he will not have a shot at the premiership even if the whole country resigned. He told that PTI leaders in the committee for elections act had presented no amendment in the elections act.

He called Imran Khan “such Aristotles and Hippocrates that spread despair”, claiming that conspiracies have been staged against the national progress. PTI had demanded resignation of Ahsan Iqbal on "mishandling the Faizabad sit-in".
