Huge fire in Chitral's Landa Bazaar guts 50 shops
The fire erupted due to unknown causes late Thursday night.
CHITRAL (Dunya News) – A huge fire gutted at least 50 shops and vehicles in Chitral’s Landa Bazaar situated in Darosh area.
The fire erupted due to unknown causes late Thursday night and engulfed nearby houses and shops. The blaze was so intense that the flames spread to Shehzada Zia auto market.

Besides Darosh, fire tenders were also called from Chitral, which put out the blaze after hectic efforts of six hours. Local volunteers, police, Chitral scouts and fire brigade officials also assisted in dousing the fire.

Darosh Police Station House Officer (SHO) Bulbul Hassan said that the fire destroyed 50 shops, four vehicles and four motorcycles whereas adjacent houses were also seriously damaged.
Loss worth millions of rupees was caused by the fire however; no life loss has been reported yet.
