Summary Punjab CM says transparency and merit were the hallmarks of Punjab's entrepreneurship scheme

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif has on Tuesday said that hundreds of thousands of families were earning respectable livelihoods with loans without interest, reported Dunya News.

Presiding over a meeting through video link, Punjab CM examined the Punjab’s entrepreneurship scheme. He said on the occasion that providing loans without interest was a profitable scheme and lives of hundreds of thousands of families had changed completely with it. He vowed to continue such welfare projects that improved the lifestyle of families with low incomes.

Punjab government provided loans worth Rs 36.7 billion to 1.7 million families during the last few years under this scheme and the recovery of these loans is 99.96%. Hundreds of thousands of families are earning respectable livelihoods today through this scheme.
