Summary Jamshoro Power Company Limited endured loss of 2.45 billion Rupees
JAMSHORO (Dunya News) – Federal Minister of Energy Sardar Awais Laghari ordered the investigation of 2.45 billion Rupees loss in Jamshoro Power Company Limited (GENCO-I) and demanded the finalized investigative report within 15 days.
“Action will be taken against those responsible for the financial loss,” he said. The Federal Minister also informed that company’s profit in year 2014 was 1.46 billion which reduced to 0.78 billion Rupees in following years.
Sardar Awais Laghari added that investigation authority will be handed over to another institution in case the investigation is not carried out honestly.
The Minister of Energy also directed the Power Division with regard to evaluation of the roles of all GENCOS.
