LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Tahir-ul-Qadri on Thursday announced his party’s support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) candidate Yasmin Rashid in NA-120 by-polls, reported Dunya News.

PTI chief Imran Khan had reached Lahore to take part in the election campaign of Dr. Yasmin Rashid for the upcoming by-election of NA-120. Imran met PAT chief at Minhaj Secretariat. On this occasion, Tahir-ul-Qadri in a joint press conference announced his support for PTI’s candidate in the by-election of NA-120.

“Nawaz Sharif was disqualified due to dishonesty not Iqama,” he claimed. He said that ‘deputy chairman’ of Sharif company is the candidate in the NA-120 constituency. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) prosperity revolves around corruption. “Nawaz doesn’t have time to meet his ministers,” he said.

Qadri further said that people have to decide whether they want to elect murderers or an educated woman. While addressing the press conference, Imran Khan said that he is not allowed to enter the NA-120 constituency while PML-N leader are heading campaign rallies. He said that he will pay a visit to Data Darbar.

“No one can stop me, Election Commission’s attitude is biased and they are working on the lines of PML-N,” he said. While criticizing ECP, Khan said that ECP is trying to become a court and I am called by ECP instead of Supreme Court. “They called me for defamation on a petty thing, ECP is after PTI,” he claimed. He said that PTI can go to Supreme Court about ECP’s attitude.

Imran addresses rally at chairing cross

Afterwards Imran Khan went to chairing cross to lead PTI’s rally to Data Darbar despite his claims of just paying a visit to the holy shrine. While addressing the participants of the rally Khan said that PTI will defeat corruption mafia on September 17. “After Sunday, we will form a Naya Lahore which will in turn build a Naya Pakistan,” he claimed.

PTI chief further said that tomorrow one game will be played in Gaddafi stadium and the other will be played in NA-120. “Sharif family’s corruption era is going to end soon,” he declared. He said that they started from Gawal Mandi and ended up at Mayfair flats. “Before panama leaks, Sharif family was lying to the nation,” he claimed. He said that whatever will be decided on Sunday will be a victory for Pakistan.

PTI chief further said that NA-120 election will bring an end to the 30 year rule of Sharif family. “On Sunday, we will lay the foundation of Naya Pakistan. He said that Maryam Nawaz used to lie before Panama leaks that Sharif family doesn’t have a company in Pakistan. “How was she able to make so much property and assets so quickly, how is she asking people for their votes now,” he questioned.

Later on, Imran Khan took his rally from Chairing Cross to Data Darbar where several incidents occurred, including the breakdown of his container and row between PTI workers. Imran Khan and other PTI leaders had to travel on other vehicles due to the disturbance.

"These thieves destroyed our hospitals and universities. This election will be based on two-nation theory. People will decide whether to vote for the Pakistan of Quaid and Iqbal or of these thieves."

"Insha Allah Pakistan will win," he ended his brief address.
