KARACHI (Dunya News) – Funeral prayers of the 11 killed at Hawke’s Bay were offered on Sunday in North Karachi and the bodies were laid to rest in Shah Muhammad graveyard.
Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar among politicians belonging to different political fronts participated in the funeral prayers.
While talking to the media, the mayor said that the people visit the beaches despite restrictions and disregard the warnings and do not cooperate with the life guards there which is not a productive behaviour by the locals.

It should be mentioned here that chief minister Murad Ali Shah has summoned a report in the issue from home secretary.
Police official Ijaz Khokhar had said that two people drowned Saturday (September 9) after enjoying a picnic at the beach and the others died trying to rescue them.
Such incidents have occurred before at Karachi’s beaches where people often disregard warnings from authorities.
Reportedly, fifty five picnickers have lost their lives during the last three months at different spots on Karachi beach. Most of the incidents have been reported at Hawke’s Bay beach.
