Summary Labourers ended their sit-in after successful negotiations with Power looms owners.
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Hundreds of power looms workers staged a sit-in in front of Deputy Commissioner Office in Faisalabad on Thursday for acceptance of their demands, causing a huge traffic jam.
Deputy Commissioner, Faisalabad arranged negotiations between protesting workers and power looms owners during which four out of five demands of the workers were accepted.
The power looms owners agreed to accept workers demands of increase the wages, provision of social security card, provision of EOBI card and arrangements of health and safety at the power looms. The labourers ended sit-in after acceptance of their demands and dispersed peacefully.
