Summary Punjab budget for FY 2017-18 with estimated outlay of over Rs 1935 billion will be presented today.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab budget for the fiscal year 2017-18 with an estimated outlay of over Rs 1935 billion will be presented today (Friday). Punjab Finance Minister Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha will present the budget in the Punjab Assembly.
According to sources, Rs 639 would be allocated for the annual development programme whereas the Punjab will get Rs 1162 from the federal government.
Sources further said that Rs 165 billion will be earmarked for law and order while Rs 355 will be spent on education and Rs 185 billion would be allocated for the health sector.
Sources further informed that Rs 260 billion will be allocated for the payment of debts. Rs 245 billion will be spent on construction of roads while Rs 100 billion will be earmarked for housing and community services.
